Ecologi was created to empower individuals to take on the climate crisis. Their approach is simple, they plant trees (through their tree planting partner) and fund climate crisis solutions with the ultimate goal to help people like you and businesses to have a positive impact on the climate and become climate positive.

Just in case you are wondering in which way becoming climate positive differs from the many ways out there to offset your carbon footprint, a quick reminder: While carbon neutral describes an activity that releases net zero carbon emissions into the atmosphere, climate positive goes beyond that by removing additional carbon dioxide from the atmosphere to create an environmental benefit.

As a member you’ll fund climate projects, grow your own forest and thus enhance employment while restoring wildlife habitats. Businesses can get involved and become more sustainable through their climate positive workforce and e-commerce stores can plant trees via their API.

Why we are curious about these guys:

Because they support a range of carbon reduction projects each month, are transparent and measure their profit on impact.

  1. Their tree planting partner The Eden Reforestation Projects plant millions of trees around the world each month. That’s great, because it’s common knowledge that one of the best tools to tackle the climate crisis is to plant trees and forests are also crucial to preventing ecological collapse.
  2. On top of that, Ecologi invests your money into certified projects that remove more greenhouse gasses than your own carbon footprint puts in.
  3. Ecologi values transparency and measures their profit in impact. You can view their membership revenue and financials and they provide evidence of their carbon offset certificates and tree planting purchase receipts.
  4. They are hosting a global (virtual) festival of climate action (17-18th November) in collaboration with WWF to give activists, change makers, artists and musicians from all walks of life and all corners of the world a platform.
